Is it possible to configure Windows backup, via a Group Policy? I'm hoping
to use a GPO to force backups on certain computers. I have looked thru the
GPO settings and did some research on the net, but haven't been able to find
anything.

Thanks for any help,

Jeff

NTBackup and most backup s/w can be scheduled. You can easily create a
schedule job to do that.
What is it that you are trying to achieve which cannot be done by backup
s/w?

I apologize for not being more specific. I know I can go to each computer
and schedule a backup using NTBackup. However, as I have various groups of
computers that management would like backups done on I was hoping to not
have to physically touch each computer. So, I'm hoping to be able to
schedule NTBackup using a Group Policy.

If it isn't possible to use a Group Policy to schedule the backups, then I'm
going to look more closely at using the folder redirect Group Policy.

Not too sure if I get what you want :) Is your goal just to perform regular
backup of remote systems?
If it is, you can definitely do it with NTBackup of 3rd party backup
software. You might want to take a look at the following articles to have a
more complete understanding of Windows backup:

For remote system state backup, refer to the following kb article:
