Hi
I have a windows 2000 server that has 9 gigs of small files
that takes a long time to back up, I'm talking I can have
my backups runing for 3 days and only be 57% done.

On that same server I have other directorys that back up
fine about 345 meg per min, this one directory drops to 15
meg per min or as low as 35 kb per min.

I am using arcserve 2000 with a sony tape drive.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

I've seen ArcServe take a begin to dive on throughput when file counts
per folder get large - 50,000+. As the file count grows, throughput
drops exponentially.
