i am trying to backup everything on my computer unto a hard drive with 252Gb
free but i keep getting a message that there is not enough space to complete
the backup - the entire data on my computer is about 66GB

If its making one big backup file, FAT32 will only support 4 gigs or so.
You have to do the backup on an NTFS formatted drive. It will store
large files.
