Please Help

XP Pro or Home? Which backup utility? What exactly is not working?

It says
The backup file could not be used
E:\backup1.bkf
Please ensure it is a valid path, and that you have sufficient access.
I have windows xp home version.
I'm trying to back up my system to cd because I want to try and fix some
problems I'm having, just in case.

Thanks
Jeff

Backing up directly to CD is not natively supported in XP unless you have
packet writing software installed. Either the Direct CD component of Easy
CD Creator, www.roxio.com or the InCD component of Nero, www.nero.com can
handle this. Please check the web sites for version drive compatibility.

As an alternative, you can backup directly to the hard drive and then copy
the file to CD which by the way, is usually faster than backing up directly
to CD, especially if you are using the verify option.
