Is there any tool that can be used to backup all user accounts authentication
information? In addition I would like also to backup their profile location
and
profile type. I want to use this backup to restore all the user accounts in
case
I need to reinstall the system.

Just image the system and store the image on another hard drive. If this is
a business you don't want to take the time to reinstall Windows and set
everything up again when you could just restore an image and be up and
running in a few minutes. I prefer Acronis True Image Echo for corporate
workstations. If you have a server, they have server versions too.

The disk image gets older in time since new software versions are released.
It cases like this i need to reinstall the system and recreate the user
accounts (and eventually to make a new image).

Probably my initial question was wrong, so I reformulate it here: is there
any possibility of saving the user accounts and restorring them without an
imaging software?

Good maintenance means making images on a regular basis, but if you don't
want to use imaging software and would rather spend the time reinventing
the wheel that's your choice. Post your question in the server newsgroup
that corresponds to the version of Server you are using. This isn't really
a security issue.

microsoft.public.windows.server.general
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

Good luck and I'm sorry I was unable to help you.
