Backup to external Western Digital Hard Drive

I thought I was backing up my C Drive to external hard drive. Somehow I
Backed everything to my C Drive and filled it up> How do I identify and
remove all the duplicate info on my C Drive?

Only you know where you dumped the stuff, or maybe you don't since you
put it on the same drive, but other than downloading a "find duplicates"
type of program and hoping its right, I guess you have little choice but
"just looking".

Didn't the backup make a single large archive file? All you have to
do is find that archive and you're fine. delete it.

I use this tree size utility to scan folders looking for large
consumption now and then. Maybe you could locate a large backup file
this way.

Specifics rather depend on what tool you use to do your backups.

Look at the tool's settings, see whereabouts on C:\ it's pointing, and
delete (either manually or via the tool) all but the most recent backups
there. Or all of them, if you've got a recent one on your external drive.
