Hi

I have a purchased a external drive with a 300GB capacity.

I wish to create a backup of all my c: drive approx 14GB of data effectively
all the data incl system data. Microsoft backup gives me an error meesage
stating i have run out of disc space or the backup file is too large. The
error message continues to advise that if this disc is formatted with "FAT32"
the max possible size for the backup file is 4GB.

Your comments would be appreciated?

Thanks

Some backup programs will split the backup into 4 GB chunks. This would
require using a different program. A better idea is to reformat the drive
with the NTFS file system.
