I'm trying make my Quicken 2005 H&B file back up to my R/W CD. I keep
getting a message telling me that Quicken copied my data file to "XP's
temporary CD Burning folder" and I should remember to burn a CD. I can't
find anything in my "Learn XP" file about a "temporary Burning folder", A
search of my system did return six folders labeled "CD Burning". Here's
their location & status:
1) Documents & Settings (D&S)\Default User (DU)\Local Settings
(LS)\Applications Data (AP)\Microsoft (MS)
Status: empty
2) D&S\John\LS\AP\MS
Status: ah HA! My Quicken files! Now what?
Question #1: How do I get them on the CD in the E drive?
Question #2: Why didn't Quicken back these up directly to the E
drive rather than dumping them into this folder?
3) Program Files (PF)\Real (R)\Real Player(RP)
Status: almost all .dll files ... apparently from Real Player
4) PF\R\RP\Data Cache(DC)
Status: all .ini files from who knows ????
5) PF\R\RP\DC\Get Media\loc\en (This folder is labeled identical to #4 but
is lower case)
Status: 1 file called "pageData.js". No idea what it belongs to.
6) Windows\System32\CONFIG\systemprofile\LS\AP\MS
Status: empty
Would someone be kind enough to comment on the two questions under item #2
above. Sure wish I knew why "Learn XP" doesn't give me a clue about "CD
Burning" folders.
