Backup the event viewer files via command line?

Hi everyone -

I need to backup the event viewer files via a command line...

i will use run to kick it off - but i need to back them up first,
then - i would also like to delete/truncate them

is this possible...

Simple question... i think....

i am looking at the cscript.exe
and i grabbed a couple of the samples...

but what do i save the filename as???

I am trying the VB samples....

i see that the extension is .vbs
