Backup taken during Windows Update

I did 15 or so critical updates to Windows 2000 today. One
of the service packs indicated it was doing a backup in
case the change had to be backed out. It seemed to take a
lot of room on the machine.

Is this backup automatically deleted? If not, where is it
and at what point would it be safe to delete it and
reclaim the disk space?

Thanks,
Tom R

This backup isn't automatically deleted, Windows creates a ADD/REMOVE option
for this service pack I beleive. This is done just incase something happens
after the SP upgrade you can back out of it and go back they way you were. I
think this data is stored in a folder on you Root of C:\ called (EX.
W234R32....) Its not that but it will be something really odd. If you need
Hard Drive space and everything is working great you can delete that folder.
If you don't need the space I would just leave it for a just incase.

I hope this helps out some

Thanks
