Backup SystemState

In NtBackup, when we click the SystemState check box, all of the
subcomponents of the SystemState: Active Directory, Boot Files, Com+ Class
Registration Database, Registry and SYSVOL do not automatically get checked.
In fact, they seem disabled. The checkboxes next to each of these stays
unchecked and is grayed out.

Are these getting backed up? It is a little unnerving thinking that you
might not be getting them. Is there something else that I need to do?

Yes, they will be getting backed up.

AFAIK, they are greyed out to stop you deselecting anything by accident - a
partial Systemstate backup is completely useless.

Funny, you would think that they would do it the normal way...Disable it
with a check in it.
