We are using Windows 2000 server software for our small company server. I am
creating a backup using RAR. We are currently backup up the business data
that we need but we are not backing up any server data that we may need to
recover if we have a server or some other kind of failuer.

Please tell me what we need to be saving or point me in the direction of a
document that will provide me with what we should be saving to reconstruct
our server.

Thanks

Are you using Active Directory? I would recommend starting with this webcast
about Disaster Recovery planning for AD:

In addition, here's a white paper on Windows 2000 Disaster Recovery
Guidelines:

Laura,

Thank you for the information. I will check out both of the locations you
have provided. I don't know what Active Directory is so you might hear from
me again.

Thanks
