hey folks,
i recently made some changes to a directory tree that i had been backing up
using the backup utility in Vista business edition. what i'd like to do now
is start from scratch with the backup. before really researching how to do
that, what i did was delete the directory containing the zip files that the
backup utility creates. this also deletes the .wbcat file and i knew this
when i deleted the directory. i thought this might be the way to "reset"
it, but the backup utility will still let me search the backup index,
although attempting to restore anything will obviously fail since i removed
the target directory.
really what i'd like is to be able to have the backup utility act like i
have never used it before, including not allowing me to even attempt to
restore anything until i've actually created another backup set. where is
the setting or file that will let me do that?
