Though I am not an Outlook Express(Version 6) user I have been asked by a
friend to help backup his Email in case of system failure running uder
Windows 98SE or Windows XP (Home). I have consulted Microsoft article
KB270670 (6/25/2004) and find I have a couple of problems, which I could
not overcome.

Basicly I have reached steps 3 thru 6 of 'COPY MAIL FILES TO A BACKUP
FOLDER' with the following results. When I try the CTRL+C at step 3 I hear a
'bong' sound presumeably because the operation can not be performed under XP.
When I continue to step 6 and try the CTRL+V a similar result happens.
While the order of the steps is clear, some general description of what you
are attempting to do by these set of commands would be halpful. Thanks,
Jason Sachs.

Did you select the location (highlight it by clicking it) before pressing
Ctrl-C?

I have tried to select the location in the STORE FOLDER window, and it is at this time the sound is emitted. I presume if the item was selected that its contents would be highlighted as are other Windows so selected?
