Backup MS Access 8

I would like to backup MS Access 8 database using Windows 2k backup. This is
a multi user database, and I would like to know how I can set Windows backup
to schedule a backup daily. The problem I'm having is that it seems I need
to open the DB exclusively.

I usually set the timer for 9:00 PM and then use a scheduler at 9:10 to do
the compact and/or backup routine.
