backup mail accounts

I have found that all information in Outlook can be easily backed up by copying the .pst file - even the message rules. However, the one thing it does not seem to contain is the actual mail account settings.

Is there a way of backing up the mail account settings from Outlook which can then be restored so you do not have to type all the details in again ?
