BACKUP in XP PRO - Can't get it to work

Has anyone used the Backup feature in XP Pro?

I cannot get it to work.

I select the files and folders to be backed up - everything except a very
large folder containing photographic images - but, when I try to start the
backup to CD, I get an error message saying,

"The backup file name could not be used. D:\Backup.bkf Please ensure that it
is a valid path and that you have sufficient access."

Is there something wrong with the file name? It's the default name that is
offered by the program, so there shouldn't be.

Thanks.

Nothing is wrong. You should just read one of the three or four
hundred posts pointing out that it will not back up directly to CD or
DVD. You can back up to another partition or HDD if you have one,
then copy that to CD or DVD IF it is less than one disks worth.
Otherwise get an imaging backup like Ghost or Acronis which will
backup to CD/DVD and will span across CD's or DVD's.
