Hey all,

I have Sonicwall PRO 300 Firewall
IIS on DMZ
Other servers including SQL, Data, File, Fax, Exchange and
backup server (Backup Exec) on LAN. I want to be able to
include IIS in my nightly backup. What ports do I need to
open up between LAN and DMZ, and is it a good idea to open
up those ports?

As I understand I must have authenticated session between
backup server and IIS, doesn't that create a security
issue in itself?

Thanks for any feedback.

I'd recommend a separate tape drive in the IIS machine and have it take care
of its self.

Thanks Phillip, it would make sense to me also, that's why
I was asking about the security issue. Thanks for the
feedback.
