A folder disappeared somehow from my favorites. Is there
any backup of favorites that I could restore to get the
folder and its contents back?

There is no backup of the Favorites unless you made one.
Perhaps you accidentally moved the folder elsewhere?
Have you done a search for it?

I'm not sure how to do a search for a favorites folder.
Can you advise? I checked other folders to see if the
lost folder got moved into one of them, but no luck.
Thanks for your help.

It depends on your operating system but try Start-Find-Files and
search for the folder by name, e.g. I have a Favorites folder called
Fonts_Icons and I just enter that in the Named box in Win98.
A Favorites folder is just a folder, so you search for it as you would
any other folder.
If you find it, just drag it back to the Favorites folder where it
came from.

Thanks, that worked!
