I just upgraded from Win. 98 to Win. XP and backed up
data from some of my programs to be installed after
loading the software on XP. I now have the related
software installed and am unable to find the Backup and
Restore section that is supposed to be under Accessories
and System tools. The Backup Utility isn't there. I've
bought a book on Win. XP and comfirmed the method which
is exactly the same as Win 98. Has anyone had this
problem and if so how did you correct it? I'm wondering
if I may have some bad software. Your help would be
appreciated.

Wally;
NTBACKUP is not installed by default in Windows XP Home:

If Windows XP Home is OEM, you may or may not have these files.

Also the back-up utility used in Windows 98 is not compatible with
Windows XP.
You will need to restore the files on a Windows 98 computer then copy
to the Windows XP computer.
This is because back-up is intended to back-up data for future use on
the same computer in the event of problems on that computer and not
for use on another computer.
