Hi,
I have a problem with backup on two different servers in
different domains.
Server 1: Win2003, DC/AD, domain=ASPDomain
Server 2: WinNT4, DC, domain=OldDomain
NT server is running BackupExec 8.5, which is where I'm
trying to back up to (ie. Win2003-->NT).
But when trying to back up shares on the Win2003 server it fails
with "Unable to attach - Access denied". I presume it's because
accounts in the two domains don't have the proper permissions for
this. Ie. the Bacup Exec services are started with OldDomain\admin
account which is not available in ASPDomain.
Being weak on MS trust relationships and security, I was hoping
someone in here could give me a hint as to how to set it up
properly. Thing that puzzles me is that I am fully able to
browse both domains from eachother using the Domain Admin
accounts on both servers/domains. Does that mean the domains
are already trusted?
Appreciate any help. Thank's.
