Backspace key does not repeat

Hi,

Windows 2000 SP4 here.

For some reason my backspace key has stopped auto-repeating. All other keys
are OK. This problem exhibits in Safe Mode also.

I sure hope someone can help because this is so annoying that a Windows
re-install will be necessary...

have you tried another keyboard?

Thanks for the reply Steve.

Yes I had already tried a spare keyboard, but I've just tried yet another
one borrowed from another 'puter, which works: looks like it works with USB
keyboard, but not with ps/2 type keyboard. Strange, but no probs, buying
another USB keyboard is a lot less painful than a Windows re-install...
