Windows XP Backround Firewall?

Hello, I do not know of any firewall loaded on my computer atm, i have been noticing slow internet connections and it seems its saying im behind a firewall. Is there anyway to see what firewall is uploaded or how to get rid of this problem? Thanks Josh

If you are using Win XP SP2 then you have a Firewall, not a good one, but that should not be the cause of slow internet.

Who is your ISP?

What PC do you have?

Do you use an Antivirus program?

I have SP1 but i cant find windows firewall anywhere, i have a HP media center 873n. I have no antivirus software on atm. Im running off Lan using a Linksys wirless G
