Backingup to CD

B

Bill Brown

Hi,

I can backup to other locations. I can write files to CD.
But I can't backup to CD. Even though I am logged on as
the administrator, when I try I get the following
message: "The Backup file name could not be used.
D:\test.bkf Please ensure it is a valid path and that you
have sufficient access."

Other data:
D:\ is my CD-RW drive.
The CD is a CD-RW.

Please help me understand.

Thank you

XP's rudimentary CD Recording program does not permit backing up
directly to a CD. You must create a new folder on your hard drive, perform
a backup to that folder, then record the contents of that folder to a CD.

The built-in backup utility doesn't support backing up
directly to a CD-R/RW. You can save the backup the hard
drive and then burn those files, however.
