Backing up Vista Activation

Is there a way I can back up vista's activation if I want to re-
install it?

I have 10 activations total, out of which I've used up 4. If I can
avoid it, I'd like to not use up the others if It's on the same
computer. I'm trying to wipe out the 64 bit copy I have, and re-
install with 32bit. The key is the same for both.

So any ideas on how to backup and transfer the activation?

Thanks.

Don't worry about the limit. Just phone for activation - they do not seem
to enforce that stupid limit, at least here in the UK..

Microsoft has said that for multi activation keys (specifically with
regard to MSDN 10 activations) then activating on the same machine does
not affect your activation count.

Probably true. Still a PITA though.

why are you limieted to 10 activations?

I was worried more about the server side of it, where it would tell me
on my ninth license that I had activated a maximum amount of times
now. Phoning in is always an option, but I try to avoid it when I
can....serious PITA

So you're saying it doesn't track my usage on microsoft's end and
limit me to a maximum of 10 times activation?
