I have been trying to back up. All information on this
computer to a desk top folder . so that i can then write
the data to a rw cd. I tick the correct all information
on this computer panel. Go to the next panel and set the
desk top destination. It says Choose a place to backup. i
set this correctly. Above this panel. It says Select the
backup type. The word file is greyed out. Next panel is.
Completeing the back up and restore wizard. It give the
name Desktop Backup, Description******Contents All
information on this computer. Location FILE Next panel
should complete the backup. But a message comes up saying
The file for the recovery disk could not be created the
operation was aborted. Is it possible to use the all
information in this computer to do a backup to a desktop
folder. I see the program keeps talking about a floopy
disk But i send this anyway. Can any one explain Thanks

Simple answer - do NOT backup to the desktop! For one thing, the desktop
is NOT designed to store folders. Create a proper folder on your HDD and
backup to that.
