When trying to back up Quicken on CD the CD drive just
acts like its working but never completes a backup. I've
left it for 20 minutes and it just sounds it working. I
Cannot get out of it even using contol Alt delete keys and
I have to shut down the computer by rebooting by the
switch. I've changed the drive so thats not the problem.
Need some help here. Thanks.

XP's rudimentary CD Recording program does not permit backing up data
directly to a CD. You must create a new folder on your hard drive, perform
a backup to that folder, then record the contents of that folder to a CD.

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: CD RECORDING , and hit enter.
The click on the topic titled: "Copy Files and Folders to a CD".
