Backing Up .pst files

Is there any reason why I shouldn't put my .pst file in My Documents Folder, so that they are included when I back up the latter?

If this is a sensible move, how do I tell Outlook that I have moved this file so that it knows where to find it? (I am using Outlook 2003)

To change the location of your pst file in Outlook, go to the Tools/Options dialog and click on the Mail Setup tab. The 3rd setup option is Data Files. Click on the Browse button and navigate to the pst file in the location where you want it to reside.
