Backing up programs

I want to know if there is a way for me to take all of
the software that I have installed in computer and put it
on disk, in case I ever have to remove everything from
computer and reformat. This way I can have all the
programs on disk and it would be quicker to re-install
them. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You could create a disk image with applications like Norton Ghost. See
www.symantec.com for details.
