HI I am creating a training package using Powerpont 2002.
On each mouse click a graphic or text appears. Some slides
have up to 6 items which present on mouse click.

My problem is that when previous and or home button are
used the slide appears with all the items present. I need
somehow to remove the items that appear on mouseclick when
a user wants to repeat the sequence or start again

many thanks Norah

Put a blank slide with a "0" second Slide Transition time set to it before
your slide and hyperlink back to that slide. This way you immediately go to
your real slide at the beginning so all animations work again. When you are
working through to that slide the first time, no one will even notice
because it isn't blank but for a second and you move on automatically. This
is the way PowerPoint works. When you go back to a slide you go back to the
"end" of that slide. Only way around it (without VBA code) is to go back
one more slide. If this might be possible on every slide all you have to do
is to duplicate these "blank" slide in between your regular slides and
remember to hyperlink back to those slides.

I could send a simple example if you don't understand!

Great work around Bill. I actually had not thought of it that way, although
I have on several occasions had almost the same question from clients. It
will be added to the 'bag of tricks!"

Thanks! I actually use the VBA method because I don't like having a bunch
of blank slides in my presentation. If anyone is interested, I think I can
dig deep and find it and post it!
