backing up "favorites"

How do I backup my "favorite places"

Please keep it simple.

Go to File, then Import Export at the top of the IE 6
page.

Select Export, and select a place to Export your files
to..

For 2000/XP

Backup all files (*.url) in the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>>\Favorites

For 9x/ME:
C:\Windows\Favorites

NOTE: File > Export option in IE works quite well. However, you may be
unable to import favorites to another machine which is running a different
OS / IE Version.
