I'm going to have to do a full restore due to some problems. I'm trying to
find out
how to backup and restore all of my Outlook Express ver 6 email. I've tried
exporting messages, that doesn't work they only goto apps other than
Outlook Express.
So I tried coping all of my .dbx etc files to a store folder and then
reimporting them
to my laptop Outlook Express ver 6 but it says files can't be found (even
though I
directed the browse to the location and they are in fact there with no
attributes)
evidently it doesn't import .dbx files but some other export format.
So then I tried just moving my backup files (of a different name) to the
laptop
identities store folder and then reopening the laptop Outlook Express to see
if
it would show them. No luck there either.
Is there "any" way to backup your email with Outlook Express ????

The Files and Settings Transfer Wizard will do what you want plus
bring across all of your old customizations that get blown away
with the reinstall.
