I created backgrounds in Photoshop and the file is so large that the printing
time is extrmely long.
I need a good printing resolution but I can't find a way to make it print
quickly.

In Photoshop, create your image at 1024x768 pixels and save as PNG. Then in
PPT go to View/Master/Slide Master and use Insert/Picture/From File to place
it on the slide. Select the photo and use Draw/Order/Send to Back.

If your background uses gradients, those will often cause printing
slowdowns.
