One of my hard drives has been partitioned. One of those partitions has a
background picture behind the list of folders when opened. Is there a way to
clear this picture ?

TIA Art.

Not enough details! Which windows programme when opened with a list of
folders has a picture backdrop? You mentioned partition. What made you
suggest partition might be a cause of you woe?

Thanks for responding. I'm not suggesting the partitioning itself is
responsible but it is only one of the partitions that has this background.
The person who put it on has left the house now so I can't ask him how he
did it.
If I go to "my computer" and open the drive concerned, the background is
there when the drive opens.
Hope this helps.

I don't know the registry tweak. However, can you not delete the entire My
Computer and recreate the directory? It is worth a try.
