I have just recently been unable to change the background on the computer
desktop. There is no background tab listed going through the display in
control panel. The right click on mouse to set a different back ground does
not seem work any more either.

Hi WC2--

You just have to go to the right place to do it, and you also get the chance
to browse and add any of your pics that you take or any screenshots you
do--I like to change it up all the time so I use pics to do it.

Rt. click desktop>Personalize>desktop background>(Vista offers several
choices ***on the pulldown (sample pictures (15 choices) , public pictures,
solid colors (33), sample pictures (31), but they get old for some people,
so browse to Pictures and you can add any picture you have or you can simply
use MSPAINT or any other pic grabber to take screenshots and use them for
your background.

Let us know if that doesn't work for you.

Good luck,

CH

Thanks C H, I'm sorry I didn't mention I have Windows XP.

This is a Vasta Newsgroup; read my lips!!!

In XP, right-click empty desktop>properties>desktop.

Restore missing tabs to the Display properties dialog (Windows XP)
