There are a ton of background processes always open at any
time. Last time i checked it was 29 processes. What is
the deal? Why is there always so many things running in
the background? How can you stop them in the future?

Windows has always had processes running in the background. You just didn't
know about them. And 29 is not an abnormal amount to have running. I have
35.

22 for me.

Hi Wes,

Numeral 100 does not have units, so country/language is not relevant.

I'm a late-comer to this thread, I know, but there is a difference between
an imperial ton and a metric ton (aka tonne.)

Tom Swift

Tom;
That's why I asked. :o)

US ton = 2000 #
GB ton = 2240 #
metric ton = 1000 kilograms, equivalent to 2204.62 #
++++++
As a side note.
I have always got a kick out of this.
When I bought my TV, on the box it came in it said,
19" (21" in Canada).

There are all kinds of funny things that come to mind. :o)

Wes;

It depends on how you measure the screen.
21" in Canada is the cathode ray tube by itself.
19" is what you see when the same CRT is in the cabinet/case.
What one sees, is what matters to the end user.
(Truth in advertising!)

Hi Jan;
Loosen up.
I don't think it has anything to do with advertising.
And if I gotta explain the joke.......
:o)
