The aspect ratio of the image and your screen resolution is probably to
matching and is way-off.
If the image was big enough, you probably would not land into this problem.
Resize the picture to a size that matches your screen resolution.
Here's how you can resize the image:

There is a free downloadalbe called "Image Resizer"
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe
Install this on your computer. Once the installation is complete. Right
click the image file that you wish to resize in explorer, and Click "Resize
Image". This will bring up a "Resize Pcitures" Dialog box. Choose the size
you wish to resize to and click OK. If you need a custom size Click and
Advanced Button and select the Custom Radio button and enter the size you
need to resize to.
Doing any of the above steps will create a (resized) copy of the original
image.
