Background missing when I save as web page

I have tried saving several different templates as a web page
(PowerPoint 2003) and each time I do it, the background image is
missing. I've tried templates with an embedded graphic as the
background and others where the background is on the master slide.
I've tried using both .gif and .jpg files, but each time I get the
same result ... the text appears but the background doesn't. Does
anyone know how to make the background appear when saving as web page?
Thanks.

Judy

Is it really missing, or are the background files just so large that they're
taking a long time ot load?

They are really missing. When I look at all of the files that are
generated, the background images are among the images .. but they
don't seem to be referenced in the html that is generated.

Judy,

This is strange. One thing you could try is mhtml format (Save as Single Web
Archive), but it is only a hunch. If all else fails, would you be able to
publish it to the web somewhere and send us a link?
