Hi!
I'm currently trying to bring up to date a machine that was ignored for at
least a year in the office. I managed to install service pack 4 on the
Windows 200o Proffesional operating system. Unfortunately, I am no longer
able to do system updates since I get an error when it tries to update the
"Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1". I
tried to manually install the fix KB842773 and I still could not get it to
install. It is complaining that I have to be an administrator. The funny
thing is that I am and administrator on the machine. I tried to install this
even in safe mode and using the primary Admin account for the machine.
Any ideas?
Mike
