background fuzzy from Photoshop

I am using PowerPoint 2007. I usually create a custom background in
Photoshop. Save it as a jpeg and insert in PowerPoint. When I do it now, it
prints very fuzzy. The resolution is terrible. I can give the exact file to
somer using PowerPoint 2003 and the resolution is fine. Any suggestoins?
 
I followed the directions provided, however it did not fix the problem.
Background looks great on screen. Printing it looks terrible. Same file can
be printed from PPT 2003 and it loos great.

You can turn it off in the registry.

Hm. Have you tried Office Button | PPT Options, and checking "high quality"
in the Print section?

Silly question, but did you re-insert the background after making the
registry change? Once it is compressed, it doesn't uncompress. (I only ask
because it is the type of thing I forget to do.)
