background colors driving me crazy, please help

hi, i have windows xp pro, explorer 7.

i have 2 montiros hookedup and they work fine with one problem. on the
primary monitor the backgroud is pinkish and the lettering is orange. i go
into internet ... colors but it does nto do anyhting.

help is appreciated, thanks sue

Please proofread your message before hitting send by the way. I'm
assuming you have 2 monitors and not 2 menthos mints.

If you have that much distorted color on a monitor it might be as simple
as a blown color gun or a bad wire for the Red, Green or Blue gun.
My first choice would be to swap connectors if they are the same. That
would prove the pc card if it moves to the other monitor, or the monitor
if it stays with that monitor.
After that you have to fix monitor or card in the PC.

You don't say what type on montiros you are using, but is likely that the
colour is set up differently on both. Even if they are the same model of
the same brand they will be noticeably different.
