Was infected yesterday with Backdoor.DKAngel virus, for
which Symantec has definitions but no apparent fix. Does
anyone know how I can remove it from my computer. I've
gone in as "administrator" and deleted everything out of
the temp files and downloaded internet files, as directed
by Symantec instructions, but it's still there. Anyone
have any info on this new virus?

Thanks.

I saw it on a client's box running both NAV and ZoneAlarm. It
took out ZoneAlarm at every boot and all NAV could detect was the
attempts to email home. I was never able to find the file(s) or
folder(s) involved - they appeared to not exist. I imaged the
drive, flattened the box, and did a complete reinstall. :-(

As far as I can tell, it's not new either. It's 2 or 3 years
old.

I hope you have a success.
Regardless of what that page states NAV with all the latest
definitions did not see the DKAngel on my clients box. It did
intercept the outgoing email but absolutely could not find a
thing.

Please excuse the email as I hit the wrong button.
