Welcome back Niv, glad to hear you had such a good holiday.
Lovely pics too, but the second one looks particularly amazing. To see the cloud "flowing" over the mountain like that... what a sight. It's beautiful.
Welcome back! That was a very tempting glipse, I'd love to see more photos I agree with TC that the cloud flowing across the mountain looks just beautiful, must have been incredible to see in real life.
This is the sea front at Sea Point, Cape Town. It's a great walking area and all day long there are walkers and runners along this lovely mile and a half stretch. The sea is on one side and then you turn round and see Table Mountain and Lion's Head and that wonderful blue sky. The building in the centre is Winchester Mansions, a hotel with a balcony that overlooks the sea and a great place to stop and have a cool beer. Many visits there.
This is the Xmas tree at the Waterfont (I can mention Xmas now, can't I?) which is very large and decorated very simply. Strange to see a Xmas tree in summer conditions.
Penguins at Boulders Bay, Simonstown, about 20 miles from Cape Town. Very few penguins in Africa but they are found here.
And this is my missus at the Cape of Good Hope, the southern most tip of the Cape Peninsula but NOT the southern most point of Africa. (That's at Cape Aghulas.) A popular tourist spot as you can see by the visitors.
I'll do some of the wildlife later if anyone's interested.
Great pictures nivrip keep them coming, looked a bit on the cool side at Cape Of Good Hope a pleasant sea breeze no doubt with everyone wearing jumpers. The colour of the sky is such a beautiful blue down there, Never went that way only did North and South America, and down as far as Malta and Europe not Germany though as green berets were banned there in the 1960's. Once again smashing photo's.
That pic with Table mountain and I think the one next to it looks like a big boob with a serious nipple on top.. is that the one you are referring to as Lions head..
Aaahhhh! Cutest of cute... Niv you are such a lucky fellow to have been "close-up-and-personal" with those lovely animals and their young. Really lovely photos.
