Do a google search for (how to backup to cd in XP),I
checked out a quick one for you it's here
http://www.willowsoft.com/backup/index.html
looks easy to use, free to try for ? think 15 days then if
you like it $39 to buy.You can also do a google for (free
backup software for XP) and see how that works for you.
www.google.com is a great place to start.

I use Stomp's "Back Up MyPC." It backs up to CD and/or DVD. The interface is
intuitive and easy to use. A thirty day trial is available

Dantz "Retrospect" also backs up to optical media. I found it's interface
more difficult to use.

Ya Hill I bought that also ..only because I had Sonic DVD/Cd software already
on my computer for burning DVD/CD's. I have retrospect at home and do not
like it. SOnic was for more "friendly". I am still getting used to working
with DVD's and CD's ...concepts like "DLA" (drive letter access) and "enable
CD recording" and formatting all become less easy to understand when it comes
to optical disks than when one dealt with floppys or zips. It used to be easy
....ya put the disk in and formatted it and saved /deleted files to it. Now
.....who knows.

Ain't it the truth? IMHO you can lay the blame at the feet of greedy
businesses that would rather fight than co-operate. Remember Beta vs.VHS?
That's nothing compared to the battles for supremacy in optical media.

BTW, LBA is actually a technical improvement that was designed to overcome
certain limitations imposed on the maximum capacity of disk storage. If
you're running Windows XP with at least SP 1, LBA is a non-issue.

You do exactly the same with DLA and a RW CD or DVD.
