Just recently, when I am backing up, the backup stops mid way through. I
have tried several CD's. I change the backup scope and it still stops. I
then have to reboot because the utility won't cancel out.

Any ideas?

If you are using the Windows Backup program to backup to packet formatted
CDs and the backup is too large to fit on one disc then it will stall once
the disc is full because it has no ability to split files or span media. You
may wish to look at third party software which can burn directly to CD or
DVD and has the ability to span media.
