Back up MS Outlook data (Such as contacts)?

I have two pst files - outlook.pst and mailbox.pst - not sure which one I
need to back up - I used to just have the outlook one and back this up, but
now I have both - one larger than the other and show different dates, so I
gather they are not one and the same. What is the difference, and do I need
to backup both?
Thanks

The file you need to back up is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup:

I used to just have one pst file which I backed up - outlook.pst. Now I have
two - outlook.pst and mailbox.pst. Do I need to back up both? They are
different sizes and have different dates on them, so I guess they are not one
and the same thing?
Thanks

Just look in the Properties of the root folder in your current profile. It
will tell you which file you are using when you click on "Advanced..."
