I downloaded the backup files like I was suppose to discs. I think, because
I had problems with my computer and had to take it down, only I couldn't
bring it back with the discs, thank heavens it had a recovery on the pc.
But, I can't go back and redownload those to files and I was suppose to
delete them when I was done, but didn't at the time, and now I can't find
them. So how do I delete them? My disc drive is getting really ful and
would like to get rid of some of the junk on there but don't know how.Can
anyone help? Please...I have a new pc, and it has the new Vista on it.

Ok, I downloaded the backup files onto discs and was suppose to delete that
packet of back up files from the computer afterwards but I didn't. Now I
can't find then to delete them, my D drive is getting full and I need to
delete some of the junk and I don't know how. Can anyone assist me with
cleaning up my D drive? Thank you.

What backup files? Created in what program? Have you run disk clean up?
What is taking up the space on the drive?

sounds like you should contact the people you bought the computer from. since the creation of the backup disks did not work.

I think he is referring to the factory restore partition.
If he made factory recovery disks he can delete the
partition and expand his C: drive to reclaim the space.
But I would just leave the D: drive. A factory restore
is faster from the restore partition and his recovery
disks may get damaged.

notuponcomputers: What is the size of your D: drive?
