Could you please tell me how I can back up my files on my laptop. I keep on
getting message saying back up failed due to parameter 0 x 80070057. Does
anyone know how to solve this problem ?

Can you share how you are doing this backup -- e.g. what is your destination
for the backup, is it an external hard drive, or?

Hi John,
I send it to my dvd rewriter. It gets about a third of the way
through lokking at my files to be copied and then comes up with the parameter
message. It is really frustrating me you know. Can you help me ?

When I started out with my Vista Home Premium computer, I tried
to use DVD's as my backup media; however, this was futile for me because it
took too long and used many DVD's, and often gave errors such as yours. I
bought an external 160 GB USB drive for about $60 that I use solely for
backups and that has made my computer
backup management a breeze.
