When I had windows 2000 and an older version of IE, I could go back to ANY
page and it would be cached. I took this completely for granted until I got
a new computer with XP and the new version of IE. I am hoping it's just a
setting... but I can no longer hit "back" and see the previous page on the
same web pages that I used to go on. This is especially a problem with
search results. If I look for flights, click on 1 flight, then decide to
return to the original list by clicking "back" it will return a page that
"cannot be displayed" and I have to do the search over again. I know I can
avoid this problem by using the "back" in the window itself but there is not
always a "back" in the window. This is especially annoying at shopping
sites. I think it's even happening at amazon.com. So, now every new page I
open from a search result list - I do in a separate window. It's just
stupid. Someone please tell me this is a setting I have to change and it's
not some new thing in this version of IE. It is very annoying. Thanks for
your help.
