backBack

Hi!

For some reasons, I cannot change the color of the back of my forms, either
as a whole, or for a part of it (details, header...). It quite an easy task
(I did that frequently with other programs): click the part of the form I
want to change, click on the background color icon, etc. etc. easy!... but
it doesn't work... I even tried the other way, that is by the Proprieties of
the form or part of it, same results!

Using the same technique, I was easy to change the color of fields or
buttoms...

Help...

i dont think the back colour of a form can be changed.
the only thing you can do is enter a picture in the
property's of the form and stretch it. using this method
and a simple paint program and you can get any colour
back you want.

In the Format section of the properties of your Detail and
Header and Footer sections you will find a BackColor line.
Clicking at the right side of the entry line will get you a
color picker to help.

OF COURSE YOU CAN CHANGE THE BACKCOLOR OF FORMS. Why do
you think there's an option to do so?!!!

What you're probably looking at is that you have a tiled
picture on the form. Click on the gray square at the top
left corner of the form where the rulers meet and look at
the "Picture" property. If there's a picture there,
delete it and your backcolor should appear. If not, email
me and we WILL figure this our together! Guaranteed!

Thanks, Gary,

That's the point: I tried what you suggest and It doesn't
work. The back color option is there in many windows
programs and I have used it quite a lot in many
documents, especially with Excel. But in this particular
case, with Access forms, it doesn't work!

Dank,

That's exactly what I was thinking: is the option is
there, it means that the capacity is there to change the
backcolor of a form. As I was saying to an other fellow,
I have used over and over that option with many other
windows programs (Excel, for example) and it worked. But
in that particular case, the backgroud of a form, somehow
it DOESN'T work, I swear!!!!!

I tried what you told me: there is no picture already
loaded in the backgroup (the property picture has this
message: (bitmap), no picture. I was thinking that maybe,
somewhere, ther is a "Block color option" or something to
disabled, whick is close to your suggestion.

OK, I am in waiting that "we WILL figure this our
together! Guaranteed!"

with thanks,

gm

Regarding: < (the property picture has this message: (bitmap), no
picture. <

This is where your difficulty is.
The Form was made using the Form Wizard, and a style was chosen; Stone,
Globe, Night scene, etc.
The style is a bitmap picture
In the Picture property line, delete
(Bitmap)
and write:
(none)
with the parenthesis, as the picture property.

Now the backcolor will show. You'll need to set the backcolor of each
section.
